AdultAcid aspiration prophylaxis 40 mg IV infusion 1 hr before surgery. Severely ill patient w/ either reflux oesophagitis, duodenal or gastric ulcer 40 mg IV infusion once daily for up to 5 days. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome Initially 60 mg IV daily. Doses >60 mg daily to be given as divided doses bd. Hepatic impairment 10-20 mg daily.
A02BC01 - omeprazole ; Belongs to the class of proton pump inhibitors. Used in the treatment of peptic ulcer and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
